Torah High welcomes Dr. Neal Biggart as our introductory
teacher of AP Environmental Science. Dr. Biggart brings to Torah High
an extensive academic background (BA from Cal State Northridge, Ph.D.
in Genetics from UC Berkeley/SDSU, and postdoctoral fellowship at the
University of Texas), broad teaching experience (she developed the
AP/IB Environmental Science course at Bonita Vista High School,
taught AP/IB Biology for several years for the Sweetwater District,
and was a lecturer at SDSU), as well as a demonstrated passion for
the environment (she helped pioneer the focus on water quality in San
Diego through her San Diego Stream Team). We would need an entire
website to begin to do justice to the level of scholarship that Dr.
Biggart adds to our staff. Dr. Biggart has won rave reviews for her
contagious energy and how she challenges the girls to think
analytically about the environment. Welcome!
